It was recently announced that John Lowe, editor of the recent LSU Press title Louisiana Culture from Colonial Era to Katrina, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society to Study Multi-Ethnic Literature in the United States (MELUS). The award will be presented in December at this year's Modern Language Association convention. Congratulations, Professor Lowe!
