About: Alisa Plant holds a B.A. from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in history from Yale University. She began working for LSU Press as a freelance copy editor in 1998 and became a full-time acquisitions editor at the Press several years later, acquiring scholarly and general-interest books in history, media studies, environmental studies, and foodways. In 2015 she moved to the University of Nebraska Press as editor-in-chief, returning to LSU Press as director in March 2019.
