Dennis Boman’s Lincoln’s Resolute Unionist: Hamilton Gamble, Dred Scott Dissenter and Missouri’s Civil War Governer has won the Missouri State Historical Society’s Eagleton-Waters Award. The award is given annually to the best book on Missouri political history.
