Bernard W. Wishy is the author of many books, including Jefferson and the American Revolutionary Ideal and America's Families: A Documentary History. He is currently a member of the Society of Scholars at Columbia University, where he previously held a teaching appointment for many years. He has also taught at the University of California in Berkeley and North Carolina State University.
